Connected Africa Summit 2025 Kicks off in Diani

More than 1200 delegates from across Africa have gathered in Diani, Kenya, for the annual Connected Africa Summit 2025.
The leaders include leaders in government, business, academia, and development sectors and is being hosted by The Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy, in partnership with the ICT Authority of Kenya.
Now in its 14th edition, The Connected Africa Summit 2025 will feature a dynamic agenda that includes high-level plenaries, executive roundtables, policy dialogues, and sector-specific breakout sessions.
Key areas of focus during the summit include youth empowerment, given that 70 per cent of Africa’s population is under 30 years old, scaling local innovations, harmonizing ICT policies across African nations, and promoting digital inclusivity by addressing the internet access gap.
Stanley Kamanguya, CEO, ICT Authority of Kenya, noted that the summit is not only expected to produce actionable policy recommendations but also explore alternative financing strategies to drive digital infrastructure development across the continent.
The event will also showcase homegrown innovation through an Innovation Village for startups and developers, as well as a Smart Government Zone presenting transformative public sector digital projects. Curated networking sessions will provide opportunities for strategic partnerships, investment dialogue, and meaningful collaborations.
TechTrends Media is covering the event live from Diamonds Leisure Beach & Golf Resort in Diani, where attendance is projected to exceed 2,000 participants by the end of the week.
